P4A Antiques
The Value of Your Antiques at the Delmont Public Library
Residents of Delmont no longer have to wait for the Antique Roadshow to come to town in order to get their antiques appraised at an accurate market value – all you need is a library card. Delmont Public Library subscribes to the Prices 4 Antiques (p4A): Antiques Reference database and residents with a library card can access this free of charge.
Unlike other antiques websites, p4A Antiques Reference works with over 140 major U.S. auction houses to supply the data and current prices. Updated daily, each record is complied by an editor and contains at least one full-color picture, a description provided by experts, the sale price, date of sale, and auction house name and contact information. Biographical and historical reference notes are added to many of the records.
P4A Antiques Reference is easily searchable by type or origin of an item, year of origination, and auction house. Or, simply browse the recent auctions list to see what items are selling and at what value. Categories include dolls and toys, furniture, comic books, photographs, sporting equipment, and much more.
Library cardholders can access the p4A Antiques Reference database for free by inquiring at the library’s circulation desk during library hours or by visiting Delmont Public Library’s website (www.delmontlibraryy.org) and looking under “Resources.”
